TOUR OF DUTY FUNDRAISING BREAKFAST & PRO PRESS CONFERENCE

Join Triathlon WA in supporting our local fire-fighter and long-time TOTY winning age group athlete Brad Hosking in raising funds for PMH Foundation Children’s Burns Unit. Brad Hosking will be joining 17 other Australian fire-fighters and 12 US fire-fighters in an epic journey across the United States of America, in August/September this year to finishing their 7000km journey at ground Zero on September 11th.
The purpose of the run is three fold.
1: To honor the 411 emergency service workers who gave their lives on that most tragic of days. To keep the flame of remembrance alive in their honor and to remind the world to ‘Never Forget’.
2: To raise the awareness of the roles that emergency service workers play in our society and
3: To raise donations for charitable institutions both here and in the US.

Hosted by Busselton Tri Club the SunSmart Masters Regional kids’ triathlon is a great opportunity for children aged 7 – 15 years to participate on part of the course that many of their parents and fellow Half Ironman Triathlete will compete on, on 1st May. This is a great event and it’s all about participation. Our Half Ironman Pro Athletes and family will welcome all participants across the finish line. For more information click here.

ATHLETE FUNCTION/MEDAL CEREMONY

What:
Triathlon WA will be hosting a relaxed and informal dinner/function in a marquee at the race site, combined with an awards & cheque presentation to the winners. The Meltdown party is an opportunity to recognize the all competitors in the event and their day’s achievements. IN addition, we will be celebrating 25 years of the State Long Course Championships in WA. This will bring great entertainment that should not be missed. We welcome you and your guests to the Meltdown Party, held in the Athlete Function Marquee from 6pm onwards.
